Gunvolt Boss Damage Analysis by Saairan

Have you ever noticed when fighting a boss, that you seem to do more or less amounts of damage at different points in the battle? This is because some bosses are more vulnerable or resistant when they're using certain attacks. I've reproduced a full damage analysis below that speedrunner Saairan compiled some time ago. With Inti Creates' live speedrun contest, Azure Blur, coming up, I thought that this would be a good opportunity to share this information. Might help some people out in the actual competition!

Azure Striker Gunvolt Boss Damage Analysis
        During certain boss attacks, damage they sustained may be halved (resist) or doubled (weak).
        Testing was mostly done with Luxcalibur (level 13) but this applies for damage in general. Luxcalibur's exact damage may vary between fights. (e.g. it does slightly more for Copen refight)

Merak (Subaquatic Base)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - Normal
                Punches directly at you - Normal
                Charging directly at you - Normal
                Wormhole missiles - Normal
        Phase 2
                Punches through wormhole - Normal
                Punching with gigant fists through wormhole - Normal
        Phase 3
                Lazy Laser (Desperation) - RESIST


Jota (Media Tower)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - WEAK
                Placing 5 laser shots across the room that fires at once - WEAK
                Closes in drills from both sides - Normal
        Phase 2
                Placing 5 laser shots across the room that fires one at a time - WEAK
                Slices across the ground followed by drills - WEAK
                Lasering across one side of the room. - WEAK
        Phase 3
                Phosphoratium (Desperation) - Normal

Viper (Biochem Plant)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - Normal
                Shooting 3 fire bullets - Normal
                Sliding at you - Normal
        Phase 2
                Jumping across room and ending with jumping down on you - Normal. INVULNERABLE during landing.
                Jumping across room and ending with dive kick - Normal
                Jumping across room and ending with shooting fire bulltes - Normal
        Phase 3
                Refulgence (Desperation) - Normal

Carrera (Datastore)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - Normal
                Magnetized charge into the wall - Normal
                Charge halfway across the room - Normal
                Hovers over center as hands sweeps from both sides - Normal
        Phase 2
                Shoots a gravity orb - RESIST    
        Phase 3
                Quasar Collapse (Desperation) - RESIST. Will also disable EP if you touch the void.

Elise (Stratacombs)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - Normal, Normal
                Swinging across poles - Normal, Normal
                Throwing knives at you - Normal , Normal
        Phase 2
                Throwing knives at center of room - Normal, Normal
                Co-op attack - Normal, Normal
                Petrify wave - Normal, Normal
        Phase 3
                Resurrection - N/A (You can't act during this)

Stratos (Pharma Labs)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of Fight - WEAK
                Chomps across the screen - WEAK
                Goes underground then sweeps from each side and sandwiches - WEAK
                        Sandwich                Hitting one one deal double damage (WEAK)
                                        Attempting to hit both will deal equivalent amount (likely because you hit one and trigger phase invulnerability) (WEAK overall)
                                        Becomes INVULNERABLE once chompers are combined.
                Spawns two eggs - WEAK
                Appearing as humanoid between attacks - WEAK (? I have no way of telling if he was going to disappear immediately or jump across the room or jump to spawn eggs)
        Phase 2
                Summons a swarm from one side and chomps across the screen from the other - WEAK
                Becomes two half orbs on the side of the screen sending swarms towards the center - Normal. Can hit both at once as they close in (adds up to WEAK). If you trigger phase invulnerability from hitting one you'll only hit one.
                        When combined - Normal
        Phase 3
                Nemesis Fang (Desperation) - Normal
         

Copen (Sinner's Row)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - WEAK
                Walks while shooting bullets - WEAK
                        Charges with shield upon going behind him - WEAK
                Merak - Normal
                Jota -  WEAK
                Viper - WEAK
                Carrera - WEAK
                Elise - WEAK
                Stratos - Normal

Elise Refight (Babel)
        You can't hurt the third personality. (Haven't tested otherwise but I assume it would be the same as the first fight)

Copen Refight (Babel) (Luxcalibur does slightly more damage and wipes out a full phase bar. This is opposed to the standard Luxcalibur doing slightly less than a full phase bar)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - Normal
                Walks while shooting bullets - Normal
                        Charges with shield upon going behind him - Normal
                Merak - RESIST
                Jota -  Normal
                Viper - Normal
                Carrera - Normal
                Elise - Normal
                Stratos - RESIST
        Phase 3
                Doppler Desire (Desperation) - Normal/WEAK (It finishes him)

Nova (Firmament)
        Phase 1
                Beginning of fight - WEAK
                Shooting rings - WEAK
                Descends then charges at you - WEAK
        Phase 2
                Shoots several orbs at you - WEAK
                Flies across the top shooting orbs downward - WEAK
        Phase 3
                Mind Melder (Desperation) - WEAK

Nova 2 (Firmament)
        Phase 1
                Wind - N/A
                Lightning - RESIST
                Orbs - RESIST
                Slash - RESIST
        Phase 2
                Lasers - RESIST
                Palms - N/A
        Phase 3
                Clamator Aethereus (Desperation) - RESIST
