New GV2 Footage and Song Previews Released in Latest Inti Broadcast *UPDATED*

Inti Creates hosted a special live broadcast via NicoNico Live earlier today wherein they showed off gameplay footage from Gunvolt 2, as well as some song previews from the game. The footage displayed more of GV's gameplay, although it didn't really highlight any new aspects of his play-style. We also got a chance to listen to the new version of "Reincarnation" (now called "Reincarnation - Alternativa") for the first time, in addition to one of Lola's new songs, "Igniter". You can check out both the gameplay feed and the new song previews below:

UPDATE: Zoram was kind enough to translate the character dialogue in the gameplay feed and provide the video with English subtitles. You can check out the updated video below:

Gameplay Video:

Gunvolt fan Alvin pointed out to me that, in this video, GV is able to sustain three hits before his kudos goes down. This makes the game's system much more lenient than in GV1. Granted, it's unknown whether this is due to an easier difficulty or not.

Song Preview Video:

Pretty nice, huh? It's interesting to note that Lola's song sounds more "mechanical" than Lumen's, to the point where it almost gives off a vocaloid vibe. Of course, this can probably be attributed to the fact that Lola's essentially a robot. Anyway, hope you enjoyed these videos! I know that I sure did!

  1. From what I've seen so far, it seems Gunvolt can sustain three hits before the Kudos counter drops to zero, making the penalty not as severe as GV1. It's also funny how Copen's VA Kousuke Masuo was playing as his character's rival...

  2. Interesting that the footage contains 100% recycled enemies. I'm not sure how to feel about this; on one hand, it's recycled enemies after having seen almost entirely new ones. On the other hand, this means more enemy variety overall.

As for the footage itself, I saw it earlier today. The only things I could gather was that Lola's VA was talking very fast while in character ("Acura-kun" seemed to have been every other word out of her mouth) while everyone else laughed hysterically.

I think I hear some lyrical differences in Reincarnation- Alternative. Overall, I like the more chill, electric sound it has.
But Lola is the star here; damn, does "Igniter" sound awesome. It really gets me pumped and hyped up.

  3. This is definitely the opening stage, but a couple things bother me:
・GV's sprite is the new one, but his speech image is reused with the Feather Uniform...
・GV's kagerou animation is different. Maybe to go with the 3 hits, also thinking this is in place so it's easier to hear songs even in normal mode along with the new skills that DONT save kudos.
・Cyan is still in Morpho-form but with a new portrait, which means something probably happens after this stage that forces the change? Something big enough to lose that form, which might also be why they took the game back after getting to the new tank. Also means, there's not too much time skipped between the end of 1 and beginning of 2 from GV's side..
・They meet Ouka before this (GV: Ouka and you are such worrywarts), so more of a opening cutscene this time as well?
・And an appearance from an Eden(? Xiao keeps saying 'them' but it's pretty obvious w/ his profile..) adept in the opening stage... hmhmhm

The reused sprites don't bother me one bit here because
    a) they're trash and also familiar and
    b) this is a Sumeragi ship and those are Sumeragi soliders so of course they'd be reused.

I just want to play the game myself now, look at these dorks playing so badly though XD
    Megu could've played and she'd be ok at it at least ;3;

  4. In case you were wondering, the boss (Teseo?) uses Japanese internet slang found in boards such a 2ch.

Also, the reason why it got cut off is because IKKAN said he wasn't authorized to show more than this yet we can figure out that the aerial weapon is the one shown chasing Acura so I guess both this stage and Acura's first/second stage are linked.

    1. Does he have internet powers

    2. He reeks of being a hacker: look at how the aerial weapon suddenly glowed and activated when GV approached it. He only was speaking in Internet slang before wondering how powerful GV was.
But if you look at the Striker Pack trailer he shows up doing some cybernetic-like attacks so I guess that's his power: the green lines Acura/Copen shoots are surely one of his abilities.

    1. In fact it is. I listened to the video again and RoRo's CV says that it's the equivalent of "Ressurrection". So it's official confirmation.

  7. One thing I noticed was that the presumptive Eden adept Teseo (?) appears to be talking to himself as if he was two different people. A split personality perhaps?
