Introducing "Asrock" and "Jibril" of the G7

Welp, looks like we've finally come full circle with the G7 adepts! Yesterday, an official press release revealed information on the final two bosses from the official cover art of Gunvolt 2. These bosses are Asrock, the puppeteer adept whom we recently saw in action in the latest Inti Creates GV2 gameplay video, and Jibril, a new female boss. For the full breakdown on these characters, hit up the jump below! As always, thanks to Zoram for the translations!

Gunvolt 2 Bosses Part 3

“String-spinning Operator” Asrock
(VA: Outa Ikki)
"Accept it. Failure: that's your recipe."

He’s the “Puppet-wire” Psychic: he can control and power-up machines by means of the string-shaped energy generated from his fingertips.
He used to be a young man who aimed to become an excellent pastry chef, but he met with increasing discrimination of Psychics and his dream collapsed. At some point he became obsessed with revenge against the Non-Psychics and began to lodge flames of madness within himself.
His robot “Galetekrone” is a bundle of Eden-developed weaponry tied together by the “Puppet-wire”, and it actually isn’t a robot per se.

"Furnace Of Inferno"
“Galetekrone” charges up energy and turns red hot before shooting a heat wave that’s impossible to dodge.

"Le-Le Schneeball"
An attack in which “Galetekrone” becomes a spheroid spinning at hi-speed and shoots towards the player.

"Eruption Aix Razor"
A powerful punch attack by “Galetekrone”. It punches heat energy into the ground and spreads flame bullets around the area.

"Šakotis Chakram"
A combination attack in which Asrock and “Galetekrone” throw Wheel Chakrams at each other.

"Beans Vulcan"
A machine gun rain that’s fired from “Galetekrone's” fingertips.

"Beat Up Entremets"
Asrock’s Special Skill. He makes “Galetekrone” break apart into many pieces and each piece attacks Acura. The robot’s dance doesn’t seem to have openings to escape: can one really guard agsinst these attacks?

Mission: “Puppets (Puppeteer)”
Boss: Asrock

Acura wades through the revived mechanical skeletons and witnesses something at the end of the road: a super-weapon made by assembling scrap iron and which is beyond human intellect.

Destination Facility: “Dream Island”

Conveyers belts that move non-stop to make advancement from intruders harder. If you aren’t careful, you’ll be tossed into the triturating machine.

A pile of spiky junk that’ll damage you if you touch it. If you have a weapon that can cover your feet then you can destroy them.

RoRo: "The broken mechas started up!"
Broken robots that suddenly turn on under the effect of Asrock’s 7th Wave.

“Blood & Steel Carved Dress” Jibril
(VA: Enoyoshi Maya)
"Fine! I'll execute you myself!"

She’s the Psychic with the metal-controlling Ability, “Metallica”. She has a brutal and sadistic personality, but in truth, she’s rather masochistic. She has a strong complex regarding her small height. If one comments on her height, she becomes so wild that’s it’s almost impossible to control her. Thus, Eden members know that’s it’s a taboo to say words like “small” or “dwarf” in front of her.
She can use her “Alchemist Mode” to generate steel weapons, or her high-speed battling form “Beast Mode” when battling. She also has an ace-in- the-hole in the form of the suicide attacking form “Crisis Beast Mode”. She goes on switching between any of these modes.

"Mother Of Mercy"
She makes an Iron Maiden pop up above GV. If you get caught, then you’ll be unable to move.

"Rain Maker"
A blood-like liquid becomes a circular saw and attacks GV.

"Blood Brothers"
A move in which she throws a blood-like liquid around the area. The liquid adheres to the ground and becomes a trap.

"Flash Of The Blade"
She charges and slashes at you with her claws.

"Strange World"
A feint attack that appears to be a charge towards you. She sends an afterimage charging at you while the real one appears from above.

"Dance of Death"
She jumps around the battlefield and toys with GV.

"Childhood End"
An attack in which she creates a gigantic shockwave and cuts upwards. Once you see that she’s about to do this, try to get behind her ASAP.

"Iron Maiden"
Jibril’s Special Skill. She forms a gigantic cage and creates enormous blades within the cage while she depletes her own life. If you touch her when she’s using the Special Skill, she’ll steal your EP, so you mustn't touch her!

Mission “Moonlight (Beast)”
Boss: Jibril

A lot of people are going missing as of late in the city. One of Ouka’s classmates goes missing as well. GV decides to ask Shao to look into the matter to quell Ouka’s worry.
The results of Shao’s investigation point to an old manor in the outskirts. GV tries to intrude into it to figure out what happened to the missing people.

Destination facility: “Mysterious Manor”

A trap that catches whoever crosses in front of it. Use the Thunder Scales and flail about when you’re trapped inside to escape.

Stained-glass that can be destroyed with the Thunder Scales’ barrier. If you do so then items or enemies might jump inside the corridor…A trap that catches whoever crosses in front of it. Use the Thunder Scales and flail about when you’re trapped inside to escape.

A red liquid that looks like blood and which adheres to the ceilings and floors. If you walk close to them, they’ll turn into steel blades and attack GV.

    1. I do have to say, I believe all of Asroc's attacks have sweets or french in them. Le-le here is actually, Roulé, rolled in french. And I personally went for a silly pun with Eruption Eclaiser(eclair+laser) XD

I do now notice some better writing here for some, and my own for others o: especially since i did mine at like 1am XD

If its alright if people want to compare, I'll link my own but I'd rather ask first owo It's good for learnin for some imo!

    2. Sure, go ahead and post it! I found it fun to compare both translations myself.

  2. I'm getting Bloodstained vibes from Jibril's stage, which isn't surprising as Inti Creates is also working on that game.

  3. In a tweet yesterday, the Gunvolt Twitter page posted some concept art of Jibril, and revealed she is fourteen. Younger than I expected, but whatever.

  4. Why don't they just call the blood like liquid blood as blood has iron in it which is a metal? I guess to avoid an M rating as they were already pushing it a little in the first game.

    1. Cause its not blood, its just liquid (possible liquid metal) that looks red like blood. It's part of her Seventh and she can create mass amounts from thin air. Actual blood would also be way more brown due to oxidation. (Also possible not M but CERO's D or even Z rating for physical releases. The laws on appearence of blood in things is stricter since a few years ago in japan which is also why is black in anime nowadays if its the tv brodcasted ver)

    2. It's probably fresh blood from her victims and sometimes herself since she loses health when she uses her ultimate move implying in my opinion that she is using her own blood.

  5. The official site has updated and they've also published the "catchphrases" for Asrock and Jibril which weren't in the press releases:
Asrock: "Accept it. Failure: that's your recipe."
Jibril: "Fine! I'll execute you myself!"
There's a little aspect of Jibril which doesn't translate well into English and that is that she uses a male personal pronoun as if she was a tomboy.

    1. Thanks for the heads-up; I've updated this post accordingly with the boss quotes.

  6. A fun little fact: Jibril is the Arabic variation of Gabriel, also known as God's Messenger. The English version narrows it down a bit, with Gibril being the Egyptian Arabic variation. So we could make a pretty good case that Jibril/Gibril is Egyptian.

  7. English names confirmed. Jibril is now Gibril and Asrock is now Asroc. Nothing big, just straightening up pronunciation most likely.

  8. This have nothign to do with this post xd, but i just wander if the 3DS ver. of the game, will have an update for the japanese voice mode?... I really want to play it on my 3ds without buying the striker pack, 'cause i've already bought the e digital ver.

  9. Judging by the trend if there is an Azure Striker Gunvolt 3 we will probably be fighting 7 founders of Quill that were on Asimov's side.
With some theme to tie them together.
    Maybe elements.
