Latest Inti Broadcast Reveals New Gunvolt 3DS Theme & Drama Track CD *UPDATED*

The latest Japanese Inti Creates broadcast on NicoNico revealed some pretty cool things earlier today. In particular, it was announced that a new Gunvolt drama track CD is on the way, as well as a 3DS theme for the Azure Striker Gunvolt Striker Pack! Check out all the details below! As always, thanks to Zoram for the translation!

Gunvolt 2 Special Bonuses & Drama CD
Initially included bonus: 3DS theme download code
Both the limited edition and the normal editions of the Gunvolt "Striker Pack" include a 3DS theme named “Azure Thunderclap Gunvolt Striker Pack”. The theme is based on the package illustration, and the featured song is “Concurrent World (Parallel World)” by Morpho, the “Cybernetic Singing Fairy (Cyber Diva)”.
UPDATE: Perfectly Nintendo was kind enough to upload feed from the stream that showed this 3DS theme in action. Check it out below!

“Limited edition / Drama CD”
Summary:
This [drama CD tells] a tale that happens a bit before the story of “Armed Blue Gunvolt”. It’s a prelude to the Japan invasion by the Multi-National Psychics Union “Eden” and its 7th Wave (Sevens) Psychics.
The country’s defenders, “Sumeragi”, fight hard battles against Eden, which seeks the destruction of the national defensive barrier – will Sumeragi be able to halt Eden’s advance? And the 3rd faction “Feather” gets involved as well…
UPDATE #2: Again, courtesy of Perfectly Nintendo, we now have a preview of the drama track CD. Give it a listen below if you feel so inclined! According to Zoram, this preview depicts a scene where Asimov is listening in on a conversation between Shiden and Merak via a wiretap. The stream commentators overlap with the track pretty frequently, so it's difficult to make out everything that the characters are saying, but Zoram thinks that the Sumeragi adepts are discussing the events of the Lazy Kingdom series of drama tracks

Cast:
Shiden: Murase Ayumu
Merak: Kasuya Yuuta
Panthera: Nogami Shou
Iota: Nakamura Taku
Tenjian: Watanabe Hiroshi
Jiburiiru: Enoyoshi Maya
Jibril: Enoyoshi Maya
Teseo: Ishihara Tomonori
Asimov: Yukita Masashi
Gino: Ishitani Haruki
Monica: Odaka Moemi
Sumeragi Soldier: Noda Tetsurou
Sumeragi Soldier: Tougou Yoshitaka

The Limited and Regular editions of the Gunvolt 2 Striker Pack will be releasing on August 25, the same day that Gunvolt 2 is scheduled to release in Japan.
Zoram also tells me that the drama CD will not be sold seperately. It will only be included with the Limited Edition of the Striker Pack.

Footage of the stream has not been uploaded yet, but here are some notes from Zoram of what else was discussed/featured in the broadcast. Apparently, the Inti team did a live playthrough of GV's opening stage in Gunvolt 2. Some of the character dialogue from this stage is touched upon below:

  • Drama CD tease: Asimov using a wiretap to listen into someone's talk (stream got cut off and I couldn't hear the whole "tease").
  • Intro: Sumeragi top officers discussing the failure of the Diva Project.
  • GV intro stage name: "Intrusion"
  • GV talking with Morpho while inside an airship and surrounded by soldiers who think he made airship go berserk. Only GV can see and hear her.
  • He says something about the reason why he still wears the Feather uniform, but I didn't write it down.
  • BGM is a remake of GV1 Sumeragi 1st.
  • Xiao and Ouka talk to GV through radio.
  • Most of the stage is the same as was shown last time.
  • After the attack airship drops down, Xiao tells GV that the airship is about to crash into a skyscraper, so GV doesn't chase the flying robot.
  • Cyan/Morpho lends GV her power, and a new resurrection song plays
  • Teseo begins to turn the airship into cyberspace and GV tries to run ahead of the "digitalization beam" (note: my name for the beam, not official)
  • "Indigo Destiny" broadcast (UPDATE #4: And now on Youtube!)
  • New RoRo song: "Void Ring" (UPDATE #5: Also now on Youtube!)
  • Next stream: July 22 (Friday) 21pm JST

And that's all for now! Hope you enjoyed all this awesome news!

  1. GV says he's wearing the Feather Uniform because he doesn't have anything else as convenient for this kind of operation at the moment.

ALSO IM DYING AT THE PART THEY FALL IN THE HOLE RIGHT AFTER CYAN'S LIKE 'Geez I'll lend you my power to get over this smh'

GV also says that the World Hack ability feels similar to Cyan and himself as they run away. Then the Eden duo mentions the Aura is the Fairy's power that they were after.

The 'boss' is summoned by Teseo's power... The controls are locked by Teseo's superior hacking Seventh..
Cyan's going to dive into the computer to unlock it but also lose her power that way I think.. :<

...the Airship was a trap for GV and Cyan....for Eden to capture Cyan's power...

I like that she follows behind now, wonder if that still applies to tiny Cyan (the offical website says when losing her power, she also became the about size of a person's hand)

augh it's so close yet so far away still...
