Check Out 13 Glorious Minutes of English Gunvolt 2 Footage

A few hours ago, Nintendo World Report uploaded a video showing over thirteen minutes of English Gunvolt 2 footage. It would appear that this was recorded at Anime Expo 2016 in Los Angeles, where Inti Creates is currently visiting with a demo of the game on-hand. The demo features gameplay from Teseo's stage. Suffice to say that, between the boss's wacky dialogue and the stage's bizzare gimicks, it's pretty crazy to watch! I think Teseo's personality has been pretty accurately replicated to accomodate English Internet slang, though. Gotta say, he's really cracking me up! Joule's reactions to his nonsense are also really hilarious to read.

There are two things that I found particularly interesting in this video: First is the fact that Teseo suddenly brings up Asimov to GV at 9:33, asking if he really killed him or if that was just a rumor. You really can't help but wonder why Teseo takes an interest in GV's old boss all of a sudden like that. The second thing is that Matt Papa seems to confirm at 3:23 that, in the full version of Gunvolt 2, GV will not be able to take a maximum of three hits before losing his kudos--only one, like the first game.

Anyway, that's it for now! It seems that a demo of one of Copen's stages is also available at the Inti Creates AX booth, although I can't locate footage from it at the moment. I'll keep an eye out, however, and keep you folks in the loop!

  1. omg I see Cyan is a tiny little spark aaaaa cute i'm glad she's still there even in tiny formmm. Also seems like because they're one she can either feel or even hear GV's thoughts, hope some 4koma come out of that. XD

Also GV and the FairyTale's animation confirms my theory about the end of the Opening Stage.

That is.... Cyan will go into the computer to undo the locks to the Airship Control Panel instead since GV can't with his own ability, Teseo almost manages to completely capture her but she escapes barely, only with a fraction of her power. GV will probably be extremely mad at himself for letting her do that.

Eden then makes the Fairy Tales with the power they managed to grab... Which is why they're 'Fairy' Tales (thxinti), based of info they had about Glaives and how you can place power outside the Seventh Adept to use. Sumeragi took Adepts own power to control it, but here Eden placed Cyan's power inside a book for their best to become even more dangerous and capable when they want.

Teseo's Seventh is extremely scary, heck people do that now. Just without all the like making data real and such. I do feel he pulled Asimov's name just to bug GV, but the Drama CD may make the reference worse (and the rest of the boss dialogue cause those go for like 5 min sometimes i swear... LOOKIN AT YOU DAYTONA U CREEP)

I think it's possible they won't let people record Copen's yet? Since he's on Desna's (ニケー)stage for the demo so far, and they have yet to introduce us to that boss in particular through the usual means. The offical twitter has even yelled at Aizu 'We haven't introduced them yet! Don't use their name (-^-;)' and someone posted to it in english during AX w/ the english name. Good Team Work Guys. ;3

    1. Just noticed Cyan disappeared during the cutscene and thought that was relevant but uh, i think her AI is a little screwy XD Her dialouge didn't match up for 'relevancy' either so...

  3. Teseo' special move chant is:

Let a voice cry out:/All Hail He Who Weaves The Code!/ For his realm is sealed/Impregnable Fortress!

  4. So taking three hits maximum was only for the demo? That won't deter me from S/S+ ranking as Gunvolt and Copen though. On another note, Trolling Teseo is TROLLING! LOL

    1. Ha, same here! In any case, I daresay that I would have gone for a no-damage run in the game eventually. :P

  5. That Asimov reference definitely makes it seem like Asimov worked with Eden.
So I guess Quill knows that Gunvolt killed Asimov from an autopsy and someone let it slip.

    1. Not necessarily but possible, yes. Asimov had been subjected to painful experiments across a lot of years hence his hatred for non-Psychics.

And maybe either Gino or Monica had to report to Feather and Teseo got a hold of this info. They were there and GV left without telling them a single word to them so they don't know what actually happened.

    2. No.
He probably hacked into Quill's database and found info on that.
I'm really surprised that they didn't talk more about that during the boss fight.
