New Gunvolt Promo Video Reveals a Ton of New Info!

Hold on to your hats, guys, because a bevvy of Gunvolt news was just revealed! Inti Creates just released a new Gunvolt promotional video wherein they unveiled a ton of new info! Among the most juicy tidbits, they announced plans to release a physical Gunvolt double pack that includes GV1+GV2, and revealed the JP release date for Gunvolt 2. They also showed off new gameplay footage from the sequel, previously unseen boss fights, character voices, and more! Check it out below!

Here's the lowdown on all the news that was revealed, courtesy of Gematsu:

Inti Creates has announced the Azure Striker Gunvolt Pack, a package consisting of Azure Striker Gunvolt and Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 coming to 3DS in Japan on August 25 for 4,800 yen. Azure Striker Gunvolt 2 will also launch as a standalone title for 1,960 yen via the Nintendo eShop on the same day. If you missed it last month, read up on the sequel here.
A limited edition of the Azure Striker Gunvolt Pack will be available for 6,800 yen. It will include a drama CD and creation materials.
Depending on where you purchase the game, you’ll also get the following bonuses:
  • Animate – B2 cloth tapestry
  • Amazon.co.jp – Downloadable content
  • Amiami – Acrylic multi-stand
  • Biccamera / Sofmap / Kojima – Downloadable content
  • Imagine / Imagine WEB Shop – Large cloth poster (A1 version)
  • Gamerz – Item not yet decided
  • GEO – Downloadable content
  • NeoWing – 44mm tin badge
  • Sofmap – Item not yet decided
  • Trader – B2 tapestry
  • WonderGOO – Item not yet decided

I've also received word from good ol' Zoram Selrof that the Gunvolt double pack will not be available digitally (only physical). The release date for the NA version is currently uncertain. It's also uncertain as to whether the double pack will be releasing outside of Japan, or if we'll even be getting the bonuses listed above. Here's hoping that we do!

  1. The special edition is so unfair.
I want all of those exclusive seller bonuses.
Well I'll have to wait and see which appeals to me the most.
The most intriguing so far is the DLC.
I wonder what that is about.
I also hope it comes to the U.S. and Europe soon.

    1. Yeeaaah, I hear ya. Gonna be pretty difficult to chose between all those sweet bonuses.

  2. Glad Lola's voice sounds decent; afraid it would be stereotypical "moe blob" due to her being patterned after Copen's little sister.

I seem to have been totally wrong about Green boss dude, because he doesn't seem to have any connection to plants; instead, he uses that blue laser thing that I thought was from the blue guy in the center of the bosses in the promotional material.

Also, was that Lola singing in the theme at the end? The voice matches fairly well, and it's way too deep to be Joule.

    1. Yeah, Lola's voice is good. Gotta say, though, I can't listen to her without thinking of Model A from Rockman ZX Advent. lol Not only does her voice sound similar, but she talks really energetically, like Model A. :P

Also... yeah, I think you're right. That -does- kinda sound like Lola at the end, huh?

    2. Also of note is that the excerpt of Indigo Destiny played has different instrumentation, with a steady electric guitar-like beat and distorted vocals.

And I just noticed this: Puppeteer Dude's special attack seems to have the same name as not-Luna's: "Beat Up Entremets". This actually seems to be finalized, as you clearly hear him say it. That's kinda dissapointing... except the English footage from the Direct showed Not-Luna's special attack with a different name entirely. So either (a) they swapped names around, or (b) the localization is adding variety where there was none. If the latter, it's a change I whole-heartedly get behind.

  3. Does anyone know if the video said if the steam updates will be on the 3ds bundle?
