Fangamer has released a new batch of Gunvolt merch via their online store. The items include the official Azure Striker Gunvolt Soundtrack, Azure Phosphorescence (the Lumen album), a Lumen t-shirt, and two posters. Most (if not all) of this stuff was sold by Inti Creates during Magfest, but now that they're up on Fangamer's store, they're available to a wider audience!
You can check out preview pics of the items below. If you're interested in picking up any of this merch, head on over to Fangamer!

Dengeki Nintendo Character Profiles: Gunvolt
Yesterday I reported on a cool Acura/Copen side-story that was featured in three issues of Dengeki Nintendo. Did you know that the magazine has been sharing way more exclusive Gunvolt information where that came from, though? In particular, over the last couple months they've been releasing some very detailed Gunvolt character profiles. Mind you, these aren't your average one-paragraph character bios that you'd find in you game instruction booklet. They're incredibly detailed, and even include facts about the Gunvolt characters that we previously didn't know about! Things like their backstories, and how the special abilities of the psychics work. They're very interesting read about, especially for those who are interested in statistics.
Zoram Selrof was kind enough to translate a copious amount of these profiles from Dengeki Nintendo and send 'em my way to share here. Since they're so detailed, I'll be posting one a day on this page. With that said, here's GV's profile! Enjoy! And if you'd like to compare this translation to the original Japanese text, see here.

Hi-Res Version of Gunvolt Steam Art
Ever since the Steam version of Gunvolt was announced, I've seen quite a few comments from people wishing that there was a higher-res version of the new cover-art on the web. I thought I'd help folks out by publicly posting the full version of the Steam art, since I received it in the press email that 8-4's Mark MacDonald sent me for the sake of promoting the game. Also, I know myself how frustrating it can be to not find high-res artwork. To this day, I still can't narrow down a good resolution image of the Gunvolt 3DS North American cover-art, lol.
So, without further ado, here you folks go! Enjoy! And don't forget that my team at Get Me Off The Moon will have a review for the game out later (which I'll be contributing to).

"Nova's Memories" Drama Track Translated
Eclipse5632 aka "Sensei Hanzo" has just finished translating the second audio drama track for the "Justice Rage" album. This track details Sumeragi's "Project Gunvolt" tests and their struggle to find a test subject compatible with the electric septima gene. It's a short track, but provides some interesting info, such as Nova's last name being "Tsukuyomi". Also, unless I'm completely off the mark here, I think "Takefutsu" (whom the scientists speak of) is revealed as the real name of the true final boss. It's crazy to hear in this track that Nova's compatibility with the gene was predicted to be even higher than the true final boss, though!
Anyway, in addition to translating this track, Eclipse also provides some intriguing translation notes in the description of the video, so check that out, as well!

Who Was The First Azure Striker?
As you may or may not know, in the JP version of Gunvolt, the true final boss (whom we won't mention by name here to avoid spoilers) mentions something very intriguing about the origin of the Azure Strikers in his battle dialogue. According to him, the first adept with that power was discovered long ago, deep in a South American jungle. With their septima, the "Azure Strikers" were able to control electrons at will, allowing them to conjure powerful bolts of lightning to attack, and move swiftly by manipulating magnetic fields. What made their ability most important, however, was that they were able to freely control electronic devices. It was apparently the ultimate power in an age dominated by electronics.
