Shiden’s Profile
A 14 year old 7th Wave (Sevens) Psychic who belongs to the Sumeragi Group. His 7th Wave (Sevens) is “Telekinetic Power (Psychokinesis)”.
He was an orphan raised in a Sumeragi 7th Wave (Sevens) research institution and a test subject, like GV, of “Project Gunvolt”, but he didn’t match with the Azure Thunderclap (Armed Blue) and ran berserk.
He was hurriedly implanted with “Telekinetic Power (Psychokinesis)” Guidance Factors when he was close to death, and thus he survived. (Reference: Drama CD “Justice Rage”).
Afterwards, he showed his standing out finesse in both the 7th Wave (Sevens) and politics, and at only 14 years he ascended to Team Leader to command the Diva Project.
He originally was a mild young man with a strong sense of justice, but as experiences in the power struggles within Sumeragi, he grows without displaying his emotions and turns elusive.
However, his inner love for peace remained unchanged, and he seemed to strongly hate the “evil” that GV represents.
That hate could be from a complex regarding GV and lurking on him behind the appearances, even.
Telepathic Power (Psychokinesis):
A 7th Wave (Sevens) that directly turns thoughts into energy and interferes with space and matter.
Similar weaker abilities had been detected before the discovery of the 7th Wave (Sevens), and it’s also called the most primitive 7th Wave (Sevens). It is powerful and matchless.
As a pure battling ability, it overcomes the Azure Thunderclap (Armed Blue).
Shiden’s Swords:
The Sumeragi top brass feared Shiden’s 7th Wave (Sevens) because it was so powerful, so apart from his original “Sword”, the “Ame no Mura Kumo (Heaven Plexus Clouds)", they added the sub-Swords “Yatagarasu (Eight Foot Bird)” and “Kurohyou (Black Panther)” to install a further ability sealing.
Originally, the “Swords” were named thus because they were processed with current technology by combining actual blades or historical magical artifacts, yet these sub-Swords aren’t things that previously existed. They are modern, totally artificial Swords built from scratch.
The effects of the addition of the sub-Swords can be seen on the transformation as well: when Shiden transforms, the 2 sub-Swords become 2 spin-offs “Shadow’s Embodiment Come Crawling from the Earth, Panther Force” and the “Sun’s Embodiment Going to the Heavens, Raven Force”, respectively.
Special Attack Satellite “Star Dragon”:
An artificial satellite managed by the Sumeragi Group. It publicly is presented as an unarmed satellite destined to observations and transmissions, but, in truth, it’s equipped with a powerful laser gun.
This satellite was originally outside of Shiden’s jurisdiction, but a Shiden-faction member remodeled it in top secrecy into a telepathic weapon so that Shiden could control it through his telepathic waves. The laser attack that downpours from the heavens conducted by his 2nd form is executed through this satellite.
Diva Project:
A gigantic project that Shiden centers on and is pushing forward.
It’s a scheme to turn all 7th Wave (Sevens) Psychics in the nation into puppets that obey Sumeragi’s will by emitting Cyan’s 7th Wave (Sevens) “Cybernetic Singing Fairy” and its consciousness inductive wave across the whole of Japan from the satellite base “Heaven’s Floating Bridge”.
Sumeragi staked a lot of money into this scheme. And now that GV’s aborted it, it’s foreseen that Sumeragi will fall into a large chaotic status.
Interesting to read that last sentence. I wonder just how this "chaotic status" will affect the setting of Gunvolt 2? Guess we'll just have to wait and see!
